Also, Deep Pockets trinket (more ammo) gives you additional mines, which are, again, your absolute best friends. If you have Stone Wall trinket (less damage to you, less damage from you) - don’t hesitate to put it on, at least to familiarize yourself with the flow of the game. Max out your health, reduce damage taken. And while we’re on trinkets - easiest way to get them working for you is just to make yourself as tanky as possible. If you have Shift equipped, I found that you can actually get by without the double-jump trinket. Throwing Colt off a cliff works great too, but this one’s obvious. Karnesis is great all around, but you can really destroy your opponent, if you can push them into groups of AIs - those fellas can dish out so much damage if you give them the target. Mines are Julianna’s best friends, much more than Colt’s - they can warn you about an approaching enemy, they hurt like a MF, also try to lure Colt into them when in active battle. Also, Aether can be used very effectively to disengage and retreat, so keep that in mind. If you have Aether with Ghost upgrade - feel free to abuse it by camping near the antenna and getting the drop on Colt when he inevitably comes. If you have Pump shotgun with a variation, that allows you to shoot twice before pumping, that can be a replacement. Some general tips - if you have 50-50, use it, and equip a trinket to reduce spread when shooting from the hip. I think you’re supposed to play invasions after getting pretty far in the main game or even completing it - and if you are that kind of player, you can probably outwit most Colts, so their 3 lives won’t help them. I do think it’s ultimately balanced, but only if Julianna has necessary gear and the player is experienced enough. I think Slab and especially Slab upgrades are way too rare to have steady progress with unlocks, so your Julianna progression has a pretty good chance to be really unlucky. I was lucky enough to get both Aether AND the coveted Ghost upgrade pretty early - but I only got Shift at about level 20, and getting Nexus or any of its upgrades is just useless for invasions. DEATHLOOP is a next-gen FPS from Arkane Lyon, the award-winning studio behind Dishonored. Previously, a Julianna player bolting from a multiplayer match may imply a lot of lost effort with little to no benefit for a Colt player. I think you’re supposed to get Slabs or upgrades of them regularly, but which ones you get is just random. Even though I think multiplayer is super fun and refreshing in Deathloop, the progression system for Julianna can be a bit trash.
